Sea of Idiots Featured in TimeOut London Magazine!

TimeOut Magazine, which started as a guide to London’s cultural scene forty years ago, and now boasts versions for 34 cities worldwide, recently ran an article on Sea of Idiots! In their “Television, Films and Radio” section for the week of May 28 – June 3, 2009 they ran the following:

The animated adventures of Dave and Brian – two film geeks who spend their days working in a video shop and dreaming of becoming rock gods – arrive in short weekly bursts at www.seaofidiots.com and aspire to be some kind of cross between ‘Flight of the Conchords’ and ‘Beavis and Butthead’. Sea of Idiots’ writers Brian Garrison and David Jessup may not quite reach those heights of cult hilarity, but what they lack in originality they more than make up for in sheer bile; their characters ooze angsty, withering scorn which they drip sarcastically over everyone they meet, though, of course, the joke is that these two losers never see how lame and suburban they are themselves. All very deep – but we like it best when they’re engaged in silly arguments, such as the one about whether ‘Alien’ should be classified as horror or sci-fi.
